2011 marks the 40th year of radio experience for Rhubarb Jones who spent 23 of those years hosting a morning show in the Atlanta radio market America’s 7th largest market. He is a member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame, the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame in Nashville. He is a past board member of the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music, the Atlanta chapter of the Recording Academy and was given the outstanding achievement award by the NARAS organization. He has also served on the board of directors of the Georgia chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and was given the national chapter’s biggest award for broadcasting. Jones also has served on the board of the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education serving 3 Georgia governors. He also is a past member of the board of trustees of the University of West Georgia. He has also worked in television and film. His teaching career began in 2008. He is a Distinguished Lecturer in the Department of Communication and serves as Director of Special Projects in the Office of Development at Kennesaw State University. He also serves on the advisory board of Owl Radio.
